I have a bulk lot of lemons, so before they go mouldy I am freezing the juice. This is the first time I have done this...The plan is to take the lemon ice blocks, and have them free-flow in a plastic bag for later use. The problem is how do you keep them from sticking together, any ideas?
I freeze all sorts of things: juice, soup broth, this last week I froze the leftover turkey gravy... all in ice cube trays. Once they are frozen you can indeed just tip them out into a big freezer ziploc bag. They don't stick together much at all, and can easily be used one at a time. If your freezer is not holding things cold enough, it could be problematic, but I have no difficulty. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks you just reminded me they are still sitting in their ice-trays. I like the zip lock idea best as it makes for easy use, plus thanks for the freezer info :)
