My first efforts were a total disaster 'practice makes perfect' right? I soon sorted it and all I needed to do was put both my threads through the same side of my tension disks. Once I did this my efforts were good....I think though I need to loosen the bottom tension a bit. But I'm not to sure how to do this though. More practice I think!
Twin needle sewing on the Bernina Activa 220 |
That is so funny...I have a twin needle that I've used exactly once, because my first attempt was a mess too! I couldn't figure out how to thread the thing. I'll have to try it the way you said...oh and I have a Bernina Activa 120...SO wish I'd gone for the 220, but back then, anything was a giant step up from what I had. :) Anyway, I noticed that you're following my blog and I came over to say hello! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteI hope it turns out for you I'm going to try twin needles again soon....fun & games that's for sure.
I wished I'd bought the Activa 230 because it is a complete automatic buttonhole. but it was way more expensive..I was buying another Bernina mechanical and got talked into the 220....Love your blog by the way:)
